Todd Price was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. A natural born artist and lover of American history, wildlife and being outdoors as much as life allows. Todd found his purpose early in life reading about the frontier history of middle Ohio and the Ohio River Valley, which in turn fueled his passion for learning all he could of American history from the early days of discovery, through the American revolution and beyond – with one eye always set on the Western Divide. Todd’s art is a continuous development of a passion built into his soul – a passion from birth that draws inspiration from both ends of a continuously changing spectrum of the natural world and what man has made of it. When asked why he does it? “It’s the combination of my passion for the untouched wilderness and wildlife that lives there, intertwined with the historical events that shaped the overall American landscape… that’s what inspires me to tell stories through my art”.
Todd has won numerous awards for his art and contributions to historical and U.S. military organizations. His paintings can be found in galleries and private collections throughout North America as well as numerous book covers and historical magazines. He holds no formal training, only the lessons learned by practicing hard at his trade and the deep-dive study of the techniques and secrets revealed in the brush strokes of the great master artists.
Todd Price currently lives in the Midwest – but his heart is always chasing a ghost in the Rocky Mountains.
